Green Bay Packers free agent tight end Jermichael Finley is still looking for a home, and the Miami Dolphins might be looking to bring him to South Beach. According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Heraldthe Dolphins have had “conversations” with Finley, while other teams have been more active.

Jackson wrote for the Miami Herald:

"he Dolphins had conversations with the agent for free agent tight end Jermichael Finley and said they could have interest if he’s cleared to resume his career after neck surgery. But other teams have been more pro-active. Joe Philbin was offensive coordinator during part of Finley’s tenure with the Packers."

Finley had his best season in Philbin’s final year with the Packers, and his second best season came under Philbin as well. In 2011, Finley caught 55 passes for 767 yards and eight touchdowns before Philbin took the Miami job.

Finley was on pace to have a solid year this year before injuries ended his season and the Dolphins might be able to get him on a bargain deal because of injury concerns.
