When Manchester City travels to Anfield to face off with Liverpool, the Premier League title could be on the line in arguably the biggest match up of the season. Liverpool is atop the table with 74 points through 33 games, two points ahead of Chelsea who’ve also played 33 games. Sitting in third place with 70 points is Manchester City with two games in hand, making this game all the more important for the leaders.
Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson is following the suit of his manager Brendan Rodgers, downplaying the concerns about nerves and the importance of this game on the Premier League title.
“We are full of confidence at the minute and we are playing some great stuff and working really well for each other,” Henderson said, via ESPN FC. “We have to keep doing what we have done all season.
“We have been really high on confidence and flying all season, so hopefully we will keep that going and give everything for the game.
“It is a big game, but at the same time we have five big games left. It is very important game, it is a massive one, but we have to treat it as another game.
“The fans have always been brilliant, but I am sure it will be bouncing again on Sunday and they give us a little advantage.”
