After waiting a couple of days to see how he would feel, the Texas Rangers have placed All-Star third baseman Adrian Beltre on the disabled list.
The move is retro-active to April 9th, which is when the injury occurred. Beltre exited the middle of the game in Boston against the Red Sox with a strained left quad muscle. The initial MRI revealed just a grade one strain, but the Rangers had been feeling they would put the 35-year old on the DL and had brought up Kevin Kouzmanoff to replace him.
Beltre has a history of leg injuries, but all have been related to his hamstring.
