As we saw this past week, traditions are constantly changing in college football. In particular, traditional uniforms are changing as we saw both the Florida State Seminoles and the Miami Hurricanes introduce some new apparel.
In both instances, the schools did a pretty good job of teasing the changes with cryptic video announcements as well as posting the reactions of the players who had seen them before the public did.
Well, Akron Zips head coach Terry Bowden tried to do something similar on Monday by teasing a matte helmet change, and he went one step further by just flat out showing what the change would entail.
The only problem was, the photoshop is so noticeably horrible with the decal on the helmet that it’s hilarious.

I mean, he definitely gets a A for effort, and when you try your best to ignore the horrible photoshop attempt, the concept actually comes across rather well and the team would look nice while wearing them in MAC play.
He just should have waited until they had an actual concept helmet to show off.
