Florida State running back James Wilder Jr. arrested for driving with suspended license

As he prepares for the NFL Draft and the prospect of being drafted at some point over the course of the event, former Florida State Seminoles running back James Wilder Jr. is going to have some questions to answer following his latest arrest this weekend.

According to NolesSports.com’s Natalie Pierre, the former Seminoles back and future NFL player was arrested after he was caught driving with a suspended license and knew he was doing so.

Per Tallahassee.com:

Former Florida State running back James Wilder Jr. was arrested late Sunday night in his hometown of Tampa on a bench warrant related to a charge of driving with a suspended license with knowledge.

The offense isn’t as aggressive as some of the actions we’ve seen from prospects in the past, but getting arrested a few weeks before the draft isn’t a good way to raise your stock. Wilder has been getting interest from teams like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but his arrest will likely turn teams off to him or at the very least cause his stock to plummet further than it was.
