GLORY to make pay-per-view debut on June 21

Over the weekend GLORY World Series announced that they would be heading to the West Coast this summer for GLORY 17 on June 21. GLORY 17 will take place at the Forum, Presented by Chase, in Inglewood, California.

In addition to GLORY 17, the promotion has announced that they will be making their pay-per-view debut on the same night.

GLORY’s pay-per-view will be titled “Last Man Standing,” and it will feature a one night eight-man tournament in the middleweight division.

Six of the fighters for the tournament have been announced:

  • Joe Schilling (Ranked No. 2 in Glory)
  • Wayne Barrett (Ranked No. 4 in Glory)
  • Alex Pereira (Ranked No. 6 in Glory)
  • Melvin Manhoef (Debut)
  • Simon Marcus (Debut)
  • Bogdan Stoica (Debut)

The remaining participants will be named at a later date.

GLORY 17 will take place before the pay-per-view debut on June 21, with the main card expected to be held on Spike TV. When that event comes to a close, the show will transition to the pay-per-view portion of the card.

It will be interesting to see how a pay-per-view event from GLORY is received and it will likely rely heavily on the price tag.

However, if you are a fan of world class striking, then GLORY is something you will want to check out and you will not be disappointed.
