Since the end of the Spartans’ season in the Elite Eight, it has been expected that Harris would be headed off to the NBA, however he wanted to take his time exploring all the options, including sitting down with head coach Tom Izzo to decide what would be best. Izzo stated recently that if he thought Harris’ stock in this point guard class would be high, he would advise him to leave.
Last season, Harris was the glue that held the Michigan State team together, running the offense about as anyone has ever done under Izzo while averaging 16.7 points per game with 4 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
