The Washington Redskins have had a very busy offseason, most notably signing former Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver DeSean Jackson and former Dallas Cowboys’ defensive lineman Jason Hatcher and re-signing cornerback DeAngelo Hall.

Last week, a report surfaced that the Redskins had a deal with free agent safety Akeem Davis.

However, a few days later, the contract between Davis and the Redskins was disapproved.

According to Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun and The National Football Post, Davis has now officially signed with the Redskins.

The Redskins and the NFL have not made the reason for the trouble initial contract available.

Davis went undrafted out of Memphis last season and signed with the Seattle Seahawks. Unfortunately for Davis, he did not make the eventual world champions’ roster and did not play a snap in the league in 2013.

This is mostly a depth signing and Davis will be in quite the battle to earn a roster spot.
