The NHL regular season has come and gone which means the playoffs are just days away. The field was officially set late last week when the Dallas Stars clinched the final spot in the west, but the final matchups and seedings weren’t decided until the last day of the season.

Plenty of teams were still vying for division crowns and home-ice advantage which made for some of the best hockey fans have seen all season. Not much changed near at the bottom of the standings, but there is a new number one this week, and one team in the top five dropped big time.
