It’s the last day before Tax Day in the US, but don’t worry there isn’t a prop for if you have your taxes done yet or not on today’s Streak for the Cash board.  There are a solid number of picks with 15 options from Major League Baseball, European soccer, the NBA, and the WNBA draft.  Here’s quick rundown of my picks in each game with a summary of why I went that way and a ranking of my confidence on a scale of 1-10:

4/13 Streak Picks

11:00- Dinamo Moscow wins by 2+ Goals: I normally hate giving goals but Volga Nizhny Novgorod is -26 in goal differential and has lost their last two league matches by multiple goals.  They’ve dropped five of their last seven by multiple goals and Dinamo Moscow will be looking to extend their recent struggles. Confidence-3

2:45- Juventus win: Juve sits atop the Serie A table at 27-3-2 as they travel to Udinese who are 11-5-16 and sit in the fourteenth slot on the table.  They are 8-2-5 at home, though, so they could give Juventus a good game.  Juventus is also coming off a mid-week game which can sometimes affect team’s lineups.  I still think they’ll have enough to get the win here, although it isn’t a lock as it first appears. Confidence-5

4:00- Any Other Result: Athletic hosts Malaga after beating them 2-1 at Malaga earlier this season.  Malaga has won their last three road games outright and  Athletic has only won one of their last three league matches.  Based on current form, I thin Malaga can hold Athletic for a draw at half time. Confidence-4

7:07- Atlanta Braves: Ervin Santana was lights out in his first start for Atlanta and will take the hill tonight in Phily against Roberto Hernandez (formerly Fausto Carmona).  The Braves are off to a good start at 8-4 while the Phillies are 3-3 on their current homestand. Confidence-6

7:08- No Neither Reaches Base: This is a virtual coinflip pick, but I’d lean towards no only because both pitchers have been pretty good this season. Confidence-3

Apr 4, 2014; Washington, DC, USA; Washington Nationals pitcher Jordan Zimmermann (27) throws during the fourth inning against the Atlanta Braves at Nationals Park. Mandatory Credit: Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

7:10- Washington Nationals: The Marlins host the Nats in an NL East battle.  Washington gives the ball to Jordan Zimmermann who was knocked around by the Marlins in his last start in a game that ultimately the Nationals won late as part of their sweep of the Marlins earlier this season.  Zimmermann will look to get back on track against Brad Hand who has been crushed by Washington in his past appearances against them.  Miami started hot, but they’ve stumbled lately and having Washington come to town isn’t going to help them. Confidence-5

8:00- Any Other Result: The first three picks in the WNBA draft are far from a lock, so go with AOR for a quick streak jump start if you need to, but I’d avoid this pick if possible. Confidence-3

8:05- Houston Rockets: The Spurs have clinched the top seed throughout the NBA Playoffs while the Rockets need just a win to secure homecourt in the first round.  This game should mean more to them and since San Antonio may be in recovery mode for the first round, expect Houston to get the win here. Confidence-5

Apr 8, 2014; Seattle, WA, USA; The Seattle Mariners celebrate after defeating the Los Angeles Angels at Safeco Field. Seattle defeated Los Angeles 5-3. Mandatory Credit: Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

8:05- Seattle Mariners: The M’s visit the Rangers and send rookie Roenis Elias to the mound as they face Colby Lewis making his first start of the season.  Seattle has looked good early on and since I don’t trust Lewis to pitch well or deep into this game, I’ll take Seattle to get the win on the road in this one. Confidence-4

8:10- Milwaukee Brewers: The Brewers had a successful road trip and come home looking to win their 10th in a row.  Matt Garza has looked good in his first two Brewers starts but comes in with a 0-1 record as he faced the visiting Cardinals.  I don’t think the Brewers sweep this series or keep their streak much longer, but I do think they’ll get this game. Confidence-3

8:25- Meighan Simmons (Tennessee): Simmons and Schimmel are both expected to go late in the first round of the WNBA draft and most drafts have them as back-to-back picks.  Simmons is slightly quicker and has more “upside” which we know is what these drafts are all about. Just ask Jay Bilas… Confidence-2

9:40- Arizona Diamondbacks: Josh Collmenter draws his first start in two years for Arizona against the Mets and Zack Wheeler.  The D-Backs have struggled to a 4-11 start, but I think moving Collmenter to the rotation will be positive change and be enough to help them get past the Metropolitans. Confidence-5

10:05- Phoenix Suns: The Suns and Grizzlies meet in a game with huge playoff implications on Monday night.  If Phoenix wins, they’ll keep their hopes alive for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.  The Grizz have already beaten Phoenix three times this season, but I think the Suns will keep their hopes alive with a win at home in this one. Confidence-3

10:07- Oakland Athletics: The Athletics are off to a good starts going 8-4 overall and 5-1 on the road.  They’ll visit Anaheim tonight as they send Jesse Chavez (0-0, 1.38 ERA) to the mound against the struggling Hector Santiago (0-2, 7.71 ERA).  Chavez is pitching better and the A’s are playing better overall, so I’ll take them even on the road. Confidence-5

10:10- San Diego Padres: San Diego is home against the Rockies who have struggled away from Coors Field (2-5). Both Eric Stults and Jordan Lyles are coming off solid outings, but I’ll go with the Friars at home. Confidence-4
