Earlier this month, the Ultimate Fighting Championship released one of the top welterweights in the world, Jake Shields. Once Shields was released, there was a public outcry from mixed martial arts fans who felt that he was wrongfully released, but he is expected to land on his feet in no time.
One of the promotions who plans to reach out and pursue Shields is Titan Fighting Championship, with the promotion’s CEO Jeff Aronson telling Adam Martin on the Parting Shot Podcast that Shields will be a target.
In addition to Shields, Titan FC has had some dialogue with UFC and Bellator veteran Ben Saunders.
According to @JAronsonTitanFC, Titan is going hard after free agent Jake Shields. Jeff also mentioned there is interest in Ben Saunders.

Signing Shields would be a no-brainer for Titan FC, who can bolster their welterweight division with the acquisition.
Titan FC has begun to build a very respectable welterweight division, and a former Strikeforce champion and UFC title challenger will only continue to build the 170 pound division that they currently have.
