The 6’3, 245-pounder took a visit to Northwestern just two weeks ago and really enjoyed what he saw.

“I like them a lot. It feels promising.”

Goens, who attends Chino Hills High School in Chino, California, is ranked as the 56th best weak-side defensive end, the 127th best overall prospect in the state of California and the 1,321st best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

Goens also had offers from the Boise State Broncos, California Golden Bears, Colorado Buffaloes and Miami Hurricanes, among others.
