Nebraska Football: Bo Pelini sends out challenge to Cornhuskers following spring practices

Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach provided one of the more memorable and comical moments of the 2014 college football spring season this past Saturday, when during the annual spring game, he utilized the famous cat that has caused the”rift” between he and his twitter doppelganger for the walk out of the tunnel.

But, make no mistake about it, although he’s showing us a more lighthearted side lately, this is still the same old rough and tough Pelini, and he showed that by challenging his team after spring practices were officially wrapped up.

“The challenge I laid out to this football team is to move forward,” Pelini said. “If we don’t keep thinking about football, if we don’t attack it and we don’t keep continuing to work at it, to spend some time away from the facility, put themselves in position to keep learning and build, if we forget about football until August and just worry about the conditioning part of it, it won’t happen for this football team.”

Since joining the Big Ten a few years ago, this team has not won a conference championship, something that a lot of people figured they would have done multiple times already to this point.

2014, they will set out to change all of that and it starts by heeding the aforementioned advice of their head coach.
