Sometimes the world of movies and the world of sports collide but very rarely do they do so in a real world setting. Outside of meet and greets at the ESPY’s or court side at a Lakers game, we typically don’t hear athletes and actors compared to each other but one AFC North coach has jumped the shark entirely and compared a real life quarterback prospect to a fictional counterpart.

According to NFL Draft expert Matt Miller, an AFC coach who will remain nameless for the sake of their sanity, has compared Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to fictional Jamie Foxx character Willie Beaman from the 1999 Oliver Stone film Any Given Sunday.

You literally can’t make this stuff up if you tried and one of the aforementioned players in this conversation is actually made up. It’s unlikely that Bridgewater will take a hit for being compared to a fictional player who never really existed, but Willie Beaman did help turn his team around, so maybe the comparison isn’t as bad as it sounds in the long run.

Now we just need to find our LL Cool J counterpart in the draft and we’re all set.
