The Tennessee Titans are trying to see if things can work out with quarterback Jake Locker but the hopes of something ever developing are not particularly high. What the Titans are high on is drafting their next franchise quarterback in this May’s draft and they likely won’t be spending a high pick on him like they did with Locker.
One of the more interesting ‘sleeper’ names in the draft is Eastern Illinois quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. There are plenty of teams high on him and the Titans have added their names to that list by calling him in for a workout this week.

There’s a very likely chance that the interest in Garoppolo inflates his value and sees him chosen much higher than originally projected. In that case, the Titans would be spending a higher pick on Garoppolo than they may want to but this workout they held with him will give them a god idea of if he’s worth it or not.
