The San Francisco 49ers have put the zombie movie career of Brandon Lloyd on hold by signing him to a contract on Tuesday. As was anticipated, the Niners reached a deal with the former Patriots receiver making him Colin Kaepernick’s latest weapon on offense.
The #49ers have signed WR Brandon Lloyd. He’s back after a year off.

The signing of Lloyd isn’t a total game changer for the Niners but it does make a difference in the offense. With Mario Manningham gone, San Francisco need to make sure they have enough to work with in the receiving corps and adding Lloyd does that.
It doesn’t guarantee a Super Bowl nor does it mean that the Niners are going to be the hottest offense in the NFL next season, but there are worse weapons to have than a veteran like Lloyd who can provide depth on the roster, talent on the field and veteran perspective in the locker room.
