Ravens could be interested in QB David Carr
By Mike Dyce
The Baltimore Ravens have been looking for a back up quarterback for Joe Flacco this offseason. They’ve gauged several quarterbacks in the NFL Draft in May as well as taken a look at the less than appealing crop of veteran quarterbacks on the free agent market. Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun suggests one other veteran signal caller who might be a fit, David Carr. The former Texans No. 1 overall draft pick is familiar with new Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak’s offense and could fit in rather effortlessly.
“But one other available quarterback who has an extensive background with Kubiak is David Carr, who started one year for Kubiak in Houston in 2006,” Wilson writes. “…Carr is familiar with Kubiak’s offense, remains in good shape by all accounts and has a lot of experience with 11 NFL seasons.”
Nothing has come of it yet though according to Wilson.
