Another Sizemore is getting a chance at a rebound year in Major League Baseball.
This time, it’s Scott Sizemore, the utility infielder, who gets the “next man up” treatment from the Yankees. Sizemore, who has missed the last two seasons of baseball due to a torn ACL has been doing well in Triple-A. The Yankees have called him up to take the place of injured catcher/first baseman Francisco Cervelli, who was placed on the 60-day disabled list.
New York will likely use him at third base and keep Kelly Johnson over at first.
