The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking back at a mother wasted season as the talents of Kevin Love continue to be wasted on a team that refuses to win. That could all change this offseason though as the Wolves are looking to make some changes to not only be winners in 2014-15, but prove to the exiting Kevin Love that he should re-sign with the team next summer.

One thing that won’t happen though is the trading away of any core players. While names like Ricky Rubio. Nikola Pekovic and Kevin Love are commodities on the trade market, Wolves owner Glenn Taylor has confirmed that one of the three will be going anywhere this summer.

Per the Pioneer Press:

"On the possibility of trading Pekovic, Love or Rubio, Taylor said, “Those guys are pretty well set here.”"

If the Wolves want to get better, they need to build around that core of Love, Rubio and Pekovic. All other players outside of possibly Kevin Martin and Chase Budinger could be considered expendable but it’s unclear what Minnesota will do to improve.
