The NHL playoffs got underway on Wednesday night, and it began with a flurry of action in the first game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadiens.

Just past the 10 minute mark of the period, Nikita Kucherov scored his first career playoff goal in his first career playoff game for the Lightning. While that was a nice story, the Canadiens wanted none of it as Tomas Plekanec tied the game up at one just 19 seconds later.

As of this posting, Montreal and Tampa Bay are tied at two in the second period.
