Iconic sideline reporter and fashion rebel Craig Sager is reportedly set to begin a battle against leukemia, according to his son. Sager’s son Craig Sager Jr. posted the news on his Twitter account along with some photos of him and his father.

The news comes as a terrible shock to fans of Sager, as he’s one of the most widely known sports figures across multiple sports. While he’s been a long time sideline reporter for the NBA on TNT, Sager also acts as the go-to sideline reporter for coverage of the March Madness tournament and TBS’ coverage of the MLB postseason.
With the NBA in the postseason, it’s unlikely we’ll be seeing Sager or his flamboyant suits on the sidelines and just about every fans is keeping him in their thoughts. There’s really nothing to dislike about Sager as he’s always upbeat about whatever he’s covering and he does so in his own iconic style.
Sager battling leukemia is terrible news, but there’s more than a chance that he’ll survive and everyone across all sports and mediums will be pulling for him and praying for a speedy recovery.
