Ian Kinsler's huge day leads Detroit Tigers to win over Cleveland Indians

As both the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers assess their respective halves of the Ian Kinsler for Prince Fielder trade this off-season, the Tigers certainly have to be happy thus far.

Through 11 games Kinsler was good for a .319/.347/.468 slash line, and on Wednesday he brought out the big lumber as he keyed Detroit’s 7-5 win over the Cleveland Indians.

Kinsler went 2-5 on the day with that home run and four driven in. That combined with a nice effort from the Detroit bullpen was enough to cobble together the victory and push the team’s record to 7-5 on the young season. The Indians fell to a 7-8 mark overall.
