Did you know that there is a movie, set to be released this week, entitled A Haunted House 2? If you didn’t know, it is the latest movie parody thing from the comedic mind of Marlon Wayans.
Did you know that Los Angeles Angels’ outfielder Mike Trout, arguably the best baseball player on the planet, really wants you to see A Haunted House 2? If you didn’t know, he took a moment out of his day to let you know as much via Twitter.

It is common that young athletes will start to cross over into pop culture as they find success and sign their first big contract. It makes sense, then, that Trout is starting to have some brushes with actors, actresses, and others in the entertainment industry after signing a $144.5 extension this off-season. The part that does not make sense, almost indisputably so, is that his actor friend would be Marlon Wayans.
Have you ever watched bits of these parody movies, say, while you’re channel surfing for something to watch at the commercial breaks of a late-night NBA game, and thought to yourself: “who on earth finds this stuff funny?”
Now you know the answer. Mike Trout does.
