The Boston Celtics are sure to go through a handful of changes this offseason, one of which could be the addition of an ‘All-Star’ type player.
No names have been mentioned, obviously, though general manager Danny Ainge suggested that such a deal could be a possibility though hinted the draft will likely play a part in it.
Ainge on a dealing for an All-Star: “That’s possible. We’ll certainly look into that. So much depends upon where we end up in the draft.”
Obviously if the Celtics find themselves in position to draft first or second overall it’s unlikely they’d entertain the notion of moving their pick, however, if they do fall in the NBA Lottery could they think about moving their pick and/or a collection of players?
It’s nothing more than speculation at this point, though it appears as if the Celtics are open to making a big move during the offseason to bring in name talent.
Ainge added that he’s looking to ‘make fireworks’ though suggested that the deal has to be good for the Celtics and that he’s not just looking to ‘make a move’.
