On Wednesday afternoon, reports leaked suggesting Grant Hill was among the potential candidates for the vacated Detroit Pistons president/general manager role.
However, Hill, who has no front office experience has denied any interest in the job suggesting that he wants to be retired a bit longer before jumping into such a situation.
Hill, though, has told people close to him he won’t consider a front-office position this close to retirement, but down the line when his children get older, he would consider it.
Hill, who was drafted by the Pistons, was a bit of an odd choice given he lacks any experience in such a role. But given his former ties to the Pistons organization, it seems as if Detroit was looking to stay close to home with a former player who has shown an interest in a front office position (and even team ownership).
Joe Dumars, the former Pistons president and general manager will shift into an advisory role moving forward.
