The Philadelphia Flyers have made it their business to get in the face of their opponents when in the Stanley Cup playoffs and we saw that come pout in full force for Game 1 against the New York Rangers.
While the Flyers lost the game, Claude Giroux made sure their physical presence was known.
Claude Giroux isn’t a nice man once he steps on the ice and he displayed that numerous times against the Rangers. If he wasn’t swinging his stick at Dominic Moore’s head, he was slashing the Rangers attackers to prevent gaol scoring chances.
He stopped this particulate chance, the rule books suggest he did so in an illegal manner.
That goal scoring chance may have been stopped, but four others were not.
