Thursday afternoon, the announcement that we pretty much all expected came when Duke Blue Devils freshman forward Jabari Parker announced that he would be bypassing the rest of his collegiate career in Durham and would be heading off to the NBA Draft this June.
While only spending one season with Coach K and the Blue Devils, it was overall a memorable one as the stud freshman dazzled us by showing us his amazing skill set that may very well land him as the top overall NBA Draft pick in a few months.
With that, let’s have a look at the top-5 plays of Parker’s short career with one of the most storied programs in college basketball history, courtesy of the ACC Digital Network.
This season, Parker averaged 19.1 points per game and over eight rebounds in helping lead Duke to the NCAA Tournament, although his career didn’t quite end the way he would have wanted with the loss to Mercer in their opening game of the tournament.
Still, though, there is a lot more to come from this talented youngster that we can look forward to seeing in the NBA next season.
