In a move that has surprised absolutely no one except Bulls fans that go their hopes up, Chicago has ruled Derrick Rose out for the postseason so that he can fully heal and get back to business in 2014-15. According to ESPNChicago’s Nick Friedell, it was Gar Forman that has made the decision or at the very least reminded us of the Bulls original plan from earlier in the season.

Whenever Derrick Rose goes down, Bulls fans scramble to the hope machine and lay under it as though it was an ice cream dispenser, guzzling any hope the they can squeeze out. But the Bulls said last years that Rose would not return for the postseason and they said it more than once this year.
This latest case is less of a last minute decision and more of a reiteration that Rose is broken but the Bulls can win without him.
