Peyton Manning, Nick Saban may have violated NFL offseason rules

On Friday morning, it became public knowledge that Peyton Manning and Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase made a visit earlier this month to meet with Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban.

The meeting was held so both men could share some knowledge, but it turns out their little meeting caught the attention of the league office and may have violated some offseason rules.

According to Article 21, Section 2(a)(ii) of the collective bargaining agreement, players “are not permitted to participate in . . . group or individual meetings with coaches” until the official offseason workout schedule begins.

By meeting with Saban and Gase, it would be a violation of the rule.

Pro Football Talk says the league will be looking in to the situation, so it will be interesting to see if anything comes from this.

As long as it is not a violation levied against Bama, it doesn’t really matter. Roll Tide!!!
