Ryan Getzlaf's face is still a mess; will play Game 2 (Photo)

During Game 1 of the Western Conference series between the Anaheim Ducks and Dallas Stars earlier this week, Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf was blasted with a puck to the face. As you would imagine, it can’t feel very good and there will be plenty of damage caused, which we can still see days later on Getzlaf’s face.

His brother, Chris, shared a photo on Twitter that shows Getzlaf rocking some stitches and a swollen face. It’s not pretty, but you can check it out below:

To show just how tough Getzlaf is, he will still suit up for the Ducks tonight against the Stars despite looking like that.

As Ducks defender Ben Lovejoy said, “Luckily he’s married. He’s got a couple of kids. He’s not trying to impress anybody with his face.”
