Jack Swagger took different path to make WWE roster

WWE Superstar Jack Swagger is a former ECW/World Heavyweight/United States Champion who recently split up with Cesaro, disbanding Zeb Colter’s ‘The Real Americans’ stable. With Cesaro getting ready to receive a huge push from the creative team, Jack Swagger was once in his position.

Now it appears that the creative team will attempt to take Swagger a different route instead of putting him in Main Event matches for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He’ll more than likely start a feud with WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose sometime after or during Extreme Rules.

He recently sat down for an interview with the Oklahoman to discuss his journey to the WWE roster:

“I had met Jim Ross and Jerry Brisco before I was even in college and they always told me to get your degree first and then we’ll give you a shot if you want to come try your hand with the WWE. I graduated in May 2006, flew out to Atlanta for a week to tryout, and by July 2006 I was signed and training in Atlanta. I took a little bit different path than most WWE superstars have taken. I’m one of the few superstars who have gone through all three of the developmental camps.” Jack Swagger via the Oklahoman.

It would only make sense to put the United States championship around his waist while Dean Ambrose is a face. This would give the creative team the time to turn Ambrose heel before The Shield disbands.
