Before the series even started, the Charlotte Bobcats had an outside chance of defending the reigning NBA champions in the Miami Heat. With All Jefferson injured, that outside chance becomes no chance at all.

The Charlotte Bobcats diagnosed Jefferson’s foot injury as a strained plantar fascia. Upon the big man’s return to the game, the impact of the injury became noticeable as he hobbled up and down the court.
Outside of Jefferson, the Bobcats can’t exploit any matchups on the floor. In the notable 61 points game by Lebron James, Al Jefferson put on a clinic himself scoring 40 points and grabbing close to 20 rebounds. The Heat’s struggles against elite offensive big man isn’t uncommon and Al Jefferson fits that mode. Greg Oden, the supposed big-man stopper is dealing with injury and the chance that Erik Spoelstra could be saving him for later playoff series, leaving Chris Bosh and Chris Andersen to defend the Jefferson, two who’ve proved incapable of doing so.
With a little over nine minutes left in the game, Al Jefferson currently leads the Bobcats in scoring with 18 points along with 8 rebounds. The Cats are down 69-79 to the defending champs.
