Chicago Bulls mascot honors Craig Sager on TNT during NBA Playoffs (GIF)

With a few of the 2014 NBA Playoff games being broadcast on TNT this Easter Sunday, a lot of the focus has been put into the untimely announcement from this past week of long-time sideline reporter Craig Sager being recently diagnosed with leukemia. It sent shockwaves throughout the sports industry, and there have been a multitude of great displays of respect and honor on Sunday from friends and colleagues alike.

And this does include team mascots as well.

During the TNT broadcast of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference playoff series between the Washington Wizards and the Chicago Bulls, they showed this shot below of the Bulls mascot paying his own tribute to Sager, complete with the outlandish suit and a sign telling the legendary broadcaster basically what we’re all thinking:


That was just as incredible as anything we’ve seen today, and the continued outpouring of support for Sager is something truly special to take in.
