MLS reporter Kelli Tennant hit in head with soccer ball during live shot (Video)

Man, talk about a rough day for reporter Kelli Tennant.

The loveable sideline voice was previewing the upcoming game between the Los Angeles Galaxy and Vancouver Whitecaps for TWC Sportsnet which out of nowhere – bam – she was drilled in the back of the head by a wayward ball.

Even more impressive? Tennant didn’t even miss a beat. She continued her report through the unexpected beaning and didn’t even appear to be fazed by the drilling.

Now, soccer balls to the head aren’t exactly the worst thing one will ever experience. After all, headers are encouraged during play. But that kick appeared to come from quite a distance, from a proffesional soccer player with a mighty leg and Tennant wasn’t expecting it in the least bit. So the fact that she didn’t even miss a beat? Impressive.

More importantly though – what in the world was the goalie doing? Complete whiff there, bud. You’ve got to lay out for that one.

Hopefully Tennant doesn’t have too bad of a headache this morning.
