NBA Playoffs 2014: Roy Hibbert says he's Indiana Pacers 'weak link'

Just a few weeks ago, Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert was calling out teammates but how quickly the tide has turned.

Hibbert not only apologized for his comments, but has turned the spotlight on himself suggesting that he is the Pacers ‘weak link’ after Indiana dropped Game 1 of their first round series to the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday afternoon.

“We just have to get certain guys under control as a team,” Hibbert said. “I’m sure we’ll look over film. I’m the main culprit in terms of being the weak link on defense because they have a spread-five lineup. I guess we’ll have to adjust.”

Defensively, Hibbert makes his money down low in the paint. That’s not something he can do very well though when he’s matched up against Atlanta’s Pero Antic who likes to play on the perimeter, forcing Hibbert to leave his comfort zone.

It’s very possible Hibbert could see his minutes reduced during this series as the Pacers attempt to matchup with the Hawks unique sets.
