After going in to hostile territory and stealing a game on the road, the Detroit Red Wings found themselves with a 1-0 series lead over the Boston Bruins to kick off their 2014 Stanley Cup run.

The Red Wings defense was one of the keys to victory, and they will be looking to keep the same strategy heading into today’s game in order to keep their series advantage before heading back home.

“We did a fairly good job of boxing out and playing quicker on the defensive side of things,” Detroit defenseman Niklas Kronwall said, via ESPN.com. “In our zone when we got the puck we were able to get it out fairly quick. We were able to get the pucks deep and go after their defense instead.”
