Following a successful event at the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. on Saturday night, UFC president Dana White shed some light on the promotion’s plans for two upcoming fights on this summer’s schedule.
White announced during the post-fight press conference that the UFC will be returning to Atlantic City, New Jersey on July 16, with another event scheduled for August 23 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Both events will be UFC Fight Nights.
It is unclear whether the events will air on UFC Fight Pass or FOX Sports 1, but given that they will be airing in prime time in a United States time zone it is very possible that they will be aired on FOX Sports 1.
The last time Atlantic City hosted an event was UFC on FX 4 back in June of 2012 with Clay Guida vs. Gray Maynard headlining the event, while Tulsa has not hosted an event since UFC 4 when Dan Severn lost to Royce Gracie in the tournament final. It will be the first time that the UFC has been in Tulsa in the ZUFFA era.
