Sporting Kansas City rise up to the top of this week’s MLS Power Rankings after one of the most decisive victories of the season. Meanwhile, a number of rising powers in the MLS Western Conference are also on their way up the charts. Let’s take a look at this week’s MLS Power Rankings here on the MLS Multiplex.

1. Sporting Kansas City

A Dom Dwyer brace in the 74th and 86th minutes powered Peter Vermes’s Sporting Kansas City to a dominating 4-0 victory over the Montreal Impact at Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kan. Other goalscorers included Aurelien Collin (71′) and Calum Mallace with an own goal for Montreal (31′). Sporting return to action next week against the New England Revolution on Apr. 26 at Gillete Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT/7:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by MLS LIVE.
