Semyon Varlamov resurrected is career this season with the Colorado Avalanche and is a big reason why Patrick Roy’s team was able to claim the top record in the NHL’s Western Conference, but sometimes you need a little bit of luck, and that’s what he got vs. the Minnesota Wild tonight.

Ina scoreless game, the Wild almost got on the board with this shot near the blue line that was deflected in front of the Avalanche goalie, but despite the puck getting past him was fortunate that the puck ricocheted off the post to keep the Wild off the scoreboard.

The Wild and Avalanche are in the second intermission tied at zer0. Colorado has a 2-0 series lead.
