Jonathan Toews goal gives Blackhawks 1-0 lead over Blues (GIF)

The Chicago Blackhawks needed to get off to a strong start against the St. Louis after as they trailed 2-0 in the best of seven series after blowing two late leads in the first two games of the series against the St. Louis Blues, and they got it from their captain in the form of a Jonathan Toews goal at the 4:10 mark. Assists came from Duncan Keith and Sheldon Brookbank who was playing for the suspended Brent Seabrook.

The Blackhawks took a 1-0 lead to the first intermission against their Central Division rivals in a must-win to keep their hopes alive of repeating as Stanley Cup champions.
