As the Oklahoma City Thunder were in the midst of a late rally, the Thunder’s two marquee players, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook took over, combining to score 18 straight points for the Thunder as they battled back to take a late lead over the Memphis Grizzlies.
One of the biggest play of the Thunder’s late run came just after Durant had cut the lead to 87-84 with a huge three-pointer. The Grizzlies tried to get the ball down low to center Marc Gasol. Gasol was well-guarded by Thunder power forward Serge Ibaka and had to settle for an eight-footer jumper. Ibaka blocked the shot and Thabo Sefolosha came up with the ball. Sefolosha then found Westbrook, who threw down a ferocious dunk, one of several of his highlight-reel plays on the night.
The Thunder completed the rally and tied the game at 99 on a Kendrick Perkins put-back at the buzzer to send it to overtime.
