NCAA Basketball rumors: Michael White not taking Tennessee Volunteers job, staying at La. Tech

In recent days, the search by the Tennessee Volunteers to find the replacement for Cuonzo Martin turned from potentially trying to find a bug-name hire, to the young, successful Michael White of Louisiana Tech. Now Gary Parrish of CBS is reporting that Tennessee might want to forget about bringing White in, as it looks like he’ll be staying with the Bulldogs.

White was a phenomenal choice by the Vols to target. He recently led Louisiana Tech to nearly 30 wins this past season and claimed a share of the Conference USA title in their first year as a member of the conference.

But as it looks right now, barring any sort of unforeseen circumstances, White won’t be taking his crack at trying to claim a piece of the SEC Championship in 2014 as the leader in Knoxville.

Your reporting is terrible. Either he took the job or he didn’t. Don’t report rumors.

Everything is rumor until an official word comes from the A.D. out of Knoxville.
