NHL Playoffs 2014: Foligno to play in game three

Fresh off their first playoff win in franchise history, the Columbus Blue Jackets are going to get an added boost to the lineup as forward Nick Foligno will make his series debut tonight as Columbus first round matchup against Pittsburgh makes it’s way to the Nationwide Arena in downtown Columbus for game three.

Counting the regular season, Foligno has missed the last eight games for Columbus after suffering a knee injury at the beginning of April. His return will bring added scoring — he had 18 goals in the regular season — to an offense that has performed well thus far through two games.

“I’m really excited. The energy in the building’s going to be great,” Foligno said via Rob Mixer. “I’m looking forward to joining the battle, so to speak.”

Out of the lineup for Columbus on Monday is Fedor Tyutin after he suffered an undisclosed injury on Saturday night.
