The Big Ten Network has announced their prime time football schedules for the upcoming season, and B1G newcomer Maryland is getting one of those games in their Nov. 15 matchup against the Michigan State Spartans.
The game is one of six prime time games the network has slated, and will be the first for the Terrapins. The Nov. 15 game will kick off at 8 p.m., according to the Big Ten Network television schedule released on Tuesday morning
“This year’s selections reflect the expanded geography and nationwide appeal of the conference and the network,” BTN president Mark Silverman said in a release from the conference.
The two teams have only met five times in their history, with the Spartans holding a 4-1 edge. They haven’t met since 1950 when Maryland upset the then-No. 2 Spartans, 34-7, in East Lansing.
This will be the first time the two teams have met in College Park since 1944, when Michigan State won an 8-0 game.
