Former Hoosier Jeremy Hollowell transferring to Georgia State

Former Indiana Hoosiers forward Jeremy Hollowell is transferring to Georgia State, according to a report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Hollwell is the second big-name transfer into coach Ron Hunter’s program following the earlier announcement that former Louisville guard Kevin Hunter will be joining the Panthers.

Georgia State is one of the up-and-coming mid-major teams in the country. The Panthers went 17-1 in the Sun Belt Conference last season, and were a conference tourney victory (eventually won by Louisiana-LayFayette) away from a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Hunter has had a lot of success recruiting transfers into his Georgia State program, including Ryan Harrow (Kentucky), Curtis Washington (USC) and Manny Atkins (Virginia Tech).

The 6-foot-8 Hollowell announced his intention to transfer to a non-division 1 school in March, along with teammates Austin Etherington, and  Jonny Marlin. He appeared in 62 games in two seasons at Indiana, and started 15 this past season, averaging 5.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.
