Jurgen Klopp not interested in Manchester United job

Manchester United confirmed leaks from Monday, though they originally denied it, and have relieved manager David Moyes of his duties. They named current player Ryan Giggs the interim manager for the remainder of the season, but the search is on for a new mananger. Amongst the desired candidates for the job is Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp and Manchester United fans’ spokesman Sean Bones said he is the supporter’s choice.

“Jurgen Klopp appears to be the supporters’ choice. Obviously at Manchester United we deserve the very best manager,” Bones told Sky Sports News.

Klopp isn’t interested, pulling his name out of consideration early on.

“Man Utd is a great club and I feel very familiar with their wonderful fans. But my commitment to Borussia Dortmund and the people is not breakable,” Klopp told the Guardian.

That means they’re going to have to look elsewhere, though you’d imagine they’d still push for Klopp after the season. Klopp could be just trying to say the right things while the club’s season is still underway, especially after watching the supporter’s reaction to striker Robert Lewandowski announcing in January he’d leave the club in the summer for rivals Bayern Munich.
