The Brooklyn Nets are going for the kill against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night, trying to win both of the first two games on the road as the lower seeded team in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
The more games they win, the more the Nets will become an intriguing team in the playoff picture. The more Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce show life, the more people can talk themselves into the Nets as a team that can win some games.
As he seems to so often do, Garnett came through with a nice performance through the first three quarters against the Raptors Wednesday, including this dunk off a nice look from point guard Deron Williams.
The Nets went 16-25 away from home this past regular season, so even the biggest believer in Brooklyn’s roster had to be a little skeptical that they would be able to pull something like this off to open the playoffs. The Raptors will try to hold the Nets off from doing just that.
