Odds to replace David Moyes at Manchester United as manager

Manchester United has sacked David Moyes and named Ryan Giggs as interim manager on Tuesday. It comes just one day after reports of Moyes impending sacking was first reported, which was denied later on Monday. United named current player Ryan Giggs as interim manager for the remainder of the season.

Giggs is 40 years-old, he could be done after this season and is likely a candidate for the job. But who else is, and what are the odds for candidates to replace Moyes?

“David Moyes’ disastrous tenure has come to an end, and while some of Manchester United’s results have been pleasing for bookmakers they haven’t for the fans and the inevitable has occurred this morning,” Paul Wiggins, Sky Bet’s Head of Football, said.

“There has been a spread of money across the four frontrunners in the market with Louis van Gaal, Jurgen Klopp, Ryan Giggs and Diego Simeone all generating early interest.

“However, Van Gaal is also favourite to be the next Tottenham manager with Daniel Levy reportedly having already held talks with the Dutchman as Tim Sherwood is widely expected to be replaced this summer.”
