Ohio State Football: Chad Lindsay transfers from Alabama to Buckeyes

The Ohio State Buckeyes may have found their starting center with the news that former Alabama Crimson Tide center Chad Lindsay is transferring to Ohio State as reported by CBS Sports’ Jeremy Fowler.

Lindsay started four games for Alabama last season and is eligible to play immediately because he has already graduated and is taking of “The Russell Wilson rule” that allows graduated players to graduate to pursue a graduate degree that is not currently offered at their current institution.

Lindsay also visited the Michigan Wolverines, Louisville Cardinals, California Bears and Oklahoma Sooners in recent weeks as he looked for the best place to play his final year of college football.

Ohio State must replace four starters on its offensive line, including All-American tackle Jack Mewhort, and Lindsay will compete with junior center Jacoby Boren the early favorite and redshirt freshman Billy Price closing the gap in spring practice.
