For two seasons, Steve Novak and his sharp shooting skills played for the New York Knicks. But Novak was traded out of the Big Apple during the offseason in a deal which brought Andrea Bargnani to the Knicks.

It’s not a deal that worked out very well for New York as Bargs was a disappointment (what’s new) for the Knicks while Novak worked out a rotational bench role with the Toronto Raptors who are currently in the midst of their playoff run.

The veteran three-point specialist known as ‘Novocaine’ was recently asked about the Knicks firing of head coach Mike Woodson, where he gave the perfect response:

Former #Knicks Steve Novak on Woodson firing: Knicks “had a down year but when you trade me away what do you expect? No, no I’m just joking”

Novak is known for his rather sarcastic and dry sense of humor which he put on display during his interview with Fred Kerber.

I’m guessing Woodson didn’t exactly get a chuckle out of it, but it was still a rather humorous comment regardless.
